Parme
Since the mid-1980s, Parma has been celebrating its most famous son with the annual Verdi Festival. The friendly and elegant small town, which is also the culinary heart of Emilia Romagna, is predestined for all lovers of the fine arts. The Teatro Regio, one of the oldest and most prestigious opera houses in Italy, is an important building for Parma's impressive history and cultural heritage, where the opera thriller “Otello” and the late work “Falstaff” will be performed in 2025. The Gala Verdiano and the “Messa da Requiem” round off the exciting festival offerings.
Busseto, approx. 45 km away, the temporary home of the master, with its little jewel called Teatro Verdi is also a “must” - this time the program includes “Macbeth” in the version from 1847. The private transfers to Busseto (from and back to Parma) are of course included in the tour price.
